Most of the women who join the tailoring course can already sew. That is not what the twelve weeks are for.
The twelve weeks end in a certificate that the garment units in Ramtekdi recognise, and a unit that recognises your certificate pays you by the hour on its own floor. A unit that does not sends the same work to your house at piece-rate, which is roughly a third of the money for more of the day.
The skill was never the constraint. The paperwork was.
